- A team at the National Photographic Intelligence
Centre review the
photographs taken during the reconnaissance flight and identifies objects
similar to Medium Range Ballistic Missile components previously observed in
the USSR, at San Cristobal.
- It is decided that the President would not be informed of the missile
sites until the following day. However the secretary of defence, Robert
McNamara is shown the photographs of missiles in Cuba.
