ASSASSINATION
The American public adopted Robert Kennedy to ‘pick up the torch.’ With his assassination the Kennedy mythology was elevated into the realm of an untouchable infallible larger than life popular culture. In an era that became so riddled with political and social dislocation Robert Kennedy came to represent in the American psyche the last symbol of hope in a decade of disillusionment.
